November 24, 2012 - Version 2.12.11.24 released. Maintenance release. March 8, 2010 - Version 2.10.3.8 released. Various bugs were fixed thanks to the feedback we received from our users. We appreciate the feedback, and give each one our full attention. Several new features were added to support the upcoming Agent Tools addins. These include command line operation, authenticated SMTP support for automated emailing of reports (no email client needed), FTP support for automated upload of reports, and various features for vendor customization for businesses using LookInMyPC as a technical support tool. Command line operation is now fully functional. The format for command line use is as follows: LookInMyPC /runsilent /profile=MyProfile The profile file is always an INI file or a special encrypted INIX file. The profile name can be specified with or without the INI file extension. The profile name can also be specified as a full path name if desired. Mapped network drives are supported. UNC path names are NOT supported. If no path is specified, LookInMyPC will look for the profile in the default ..\LookInMyPC\Profiles directory. We hope to have the Agent Tools addins completed soon. Anyone who uses LookInMyPC in a corporate setting or for remote technical support should contact us if they are interested in beta testing Agent Tools. For more information, click here. Baseline Reports - These are created automatically the first time LookInMyPC is run on a PC. The baseline report is stored in the directory named for the computer being checked as baseline.zip. This allows for importation to database programs if desired. Automatic Archiving - Whenever you run a new report, the previous report for that computer is archived to a ZIP file in the "\Reports" directory. The name of the ZIP file will contain the date of the report being archived. Directory Structure - LookInMyPC can be installed in any directory on a hard disk or writable removable device such as a thumb drive.
