FontXChange provides an option to edit the font names of a converted font. Changes to font name data are applied in the Edit window. You can open the Edit window for any font by expanding the disclosure widget in the font list of the main window, and then clicking the Edit button for a given font.
Edit Font Name Window
The Edit font window provides font name fileds that can be modified and applied to a converted font.
Clicking the Done button will apply the changes to the converted font.
Clicking the Reset button will discard any changes and reset the name fields to their original values.
The Edit window provides these name fields:
Font Name | The complete, unique, human readable name of the font. (e.g. "Times New Roman Bold") |
Family Name | The name the user sees. (e.g. "Times New Roman") |
PostScript Name | The name the font will be known by on a PostScript printer (e.g. "TimesNewRoman-Bold") |
Font Version | Release and version information from the font vendor. (e.g. Version 1.00 June 1, 1990") |
Copyright | The copyright string from the font vendor. (e.g. "© Copyright the Monotype Corporation plc, 1990") |
