Clicking the Done button will apply the changes to the converted font.
Clicking the Reset button will discard any changes and reset the name fields to their original values.

The Edit window provides these name fields:

Font NameThe complete, unique, human readable name of the font. (e.g. "Times New Roman Bold")
Family NameThe name the user sees. (e.g. "Times New Roman")
PostScript NameThe name the font will be known by on a PostScript printer (e.g. "TimesNewRoman-Bold")
Font VersionRelease and version information from the font vendor. (e.g. Version 1.00 June 1, 1990")
CopyrightThe copyright string from the font vendor. (e.g. "© Copyright the Monotype Corporation plc, 1990")

caution
Note that any changes made in the Edit window are applied only to the converted font. The original font file remains unchanged. Further, changing the font name field data does not change the actual font properties of the converted font, but changes only the name data. For instance, changing the font style name does not change the actual appearance of the font style.

caution
WARNING: Before making any changes in the font name fields you should understand what the fields are used for. Some changes may be incompatible with other changes made in the same Edit window, and may result in a failure to convert the font file.
